Joanna Fruhauf became a believer in Jesus Christ in 1974 at 11 years old. “It was the faith of a child",  she says, and she still had to deal with all the youthful pressures, pitfalls, blunders, times of rebellion against God, dark activities, and identity struggles.  

 

Eventually, She was struck with the desperation of her life, and there was only one place to turn, Christ.

 

She has been a Biblical teacher for 30 years and a worship leader for 20. In addition, she led the Gracious Vine band for 15 years.

As president of Gracious Vine Ministry, her heart is to see women encouraged, equipped, and engaged in God’s plans.  She compels women to make personal and practical changes, submitting to God’s authority and accepting Jesus' love and forgiveness.

She has ministered before thousands presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ in music and messages.

She has written nearly a dozen books and has recorded 3 CDs. Through the years, she has served the body of Christ in various capacities while on staff or volunteering at different local, national, and international non-profit organizations. Each one helped equip her to understand and relate to the many challenges and difficulties of women and families today.

She travels with her husband, John, of nearly 40 years and has three adult children.
