Joanna's journey with Christ began at age 11. Though her early faith was strong, the pressures and pitfalls of adolescence led her through seasons of rebellion and identity struggle. It was in the midst of desperation that she rediscovered the unshakable hope found only in Jesus—and it changed everything.

With over 30 years as a Bible teacher and two decades as a worship leader, Joanna brings deep spiritual insight and genuine compassion to every platform. For 15 years, she led the Gracious Vine band, weaving worship and the Word to touch lives in unforgettable ways.

​

As president of Gracious Vine Ministry, Joanna equips women to break through spiritual barriers, live surrendered to Christ, and rise in God’s purpose with courage and clarity. Her voice calls women higher—into holiness, healing, and wholehearted devotion.

Joanna has ministered to thousands across the U.S. and abroad through her speaking, music, and writing. She’s authored nearly a dozen books, recorded three worship CDs, and served in a wide variety of ministry roles—both in churches and nonprofits, locally and globally. Her experience brings both depth and relevance to the issues women face today.

She now travels in ministry alongside her husband of nearly 40 years, John. They share a full and joyful life with their three married children—and a growing tribe of grandchildren! Joanna also finds joy in art, music, and meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee.
