Extending Mercy, is a powerful thing...we have an authority to do so...Mercy extended, WHEN instead Judgement would be perfectly correct and righteous to do, is in itself a greater act of righteousness.
Mercy is born out of Love and compassion. and act of forgiveness. Judgement is righteous, and true and perfect when executed by God. It is born out of Holiness and the Purity and perfection of God. An Act of Holiness.
Because of Christ, fully God fully man, having taking on the sins of us all, the full wrath of God, Mercy can be extended freely as God sees fit...as judgement for all sin is satisfied in Christ's atonement for mankind's sinful nature. It merely need be accepted at reality and lived in response to it. It can radically change our life, our family, our community, our world...
James 2:12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
